Think of burnout like a car running on empty. You might:
1. Need a constant "escape" from everything. Remember when "relaxation" meant chilling with a book or getting some fresh air? Now, it's all about zoning out (no judgement, sometimes we all need a mindless escape!). But if every night feels like a blur of scrolling or TV binges, it might be a sign you're running on fumes.
2. Snap at the people you love the most. We've all been there - your partner leaves their dirty socks on the floor again, and suddenly you're ready to unleash your inner dragon. Thing is, lashing out at loved ones never helps. If you find yourself snapping at everyone, it might be time to step back and recharge.
3. Feel like your brain turned to mush. Ever try to explain something and forget the word? Or maybe planning your grocery list feels like solving a complex math equation? Yeah, burnout can make your brain feel like mush. Don't worry, it's not permanent! It just means your brain needs a break.
4. Even fun feels like a chore. Remember how excited you used to get about hanging out with friends or trying a new recipe? Now, everything feels like a drag. It's like your enthusiasm meter is stuck on "low battery." This is a major red flag, friend!
5. Daydream about escaping to a deserted island (or anywhere but here). ️ Ever find yourself daydreaming about booking a one-way ticket to a deserted island? Or maybe you spend hours reminiscing about "the good old days"? While a little vacation dreaming is healthy, if these thoughts become constant, it might be a sign you're yearning for a break.
